In a Smaller Space, Let the Sectional Live Against the Wall

“Sectionals are crowd pleasers for basements, family rooms, dens and other areas where large groups congregate. The size of the room, the number of people you need to seat, how many people want a chaise lounge and if someone wants to use the sectional as a bed, help decide the size and configuration.

“Sectionals can be bulkier, so we usually prefer to walk into an L rather than have the back of the L as you come into a room. Since there is a corner you have to walk all the way around a sectional. I prefer sectionals in smaller spaces where the sectional lives against the walls, which creates an inviting ‘sink into me’ environment.”
